UK Casino Evenings

Accessibility

Which floors say they are step-free, what to check before you travel, and how this website itself is built to be usable.

Floors that list step-free access

The venues below state on their own pages that the casino is accessible. That is the operator’s description, not an audit by us, and it says nothing about table heights, accessible toilets or hearing loops.

Where a venue is missing from this list, it has simply not published accessibility information we could read. Many of those buildings are modern and level; some are historic and are not.

Worth asking before you travel

  • Is there level or lift access from the street to the gaming floor, the restaurant and the toilets?
  • Is there an accessible toilet on the same level as the floor?
  • Are there lowered positions at tables or the cash desk?
  • Is accessible parking available, and does it need booking?
  • Are assistance dogs welcome on the floor? Under the Equality Act 2010 they should be.

Every venue page gives the phone number. Casinos are service providers under the Equality Act and must make reasonable adjustments.

This website

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.2 at level AA. In practice that means:

  • every page works with a keyboard alone, with a visible focus ring and a skip link;
  • text contrast is at least 4.5:1, and text can be resized to 200% without loss of content;
  • status messages (“open now”, filter results, distances) are announced to screen readers;
  • all facts are in the page text; nothing essential is locked inside an image;
  • animation is switched off when your system asks for reduced motion;
  • the site works without scripts: filters, live status and the comparison table need them, but every hour, address and rule is readable without.

Known limits

  • The night chart scrolls sideways on narrow screens. The same hours are given in the table above it on venue pages and in each card on city pages.
  • Links to Google Maps and to the Gambling Commission register open third-party sites whose accessibility we do not control.

If something blocks you, write to hello@ukcasinoevenings.com and tell us the page and the problem.
